Hi all, so the picture just to the side explains a lot about me: I love cycling and doing yoga! I also love teaching as well and I want to use this website to encompass all that I can offer, which is a lot:
Yoga
Yoga gives me a sense of routine, a sense of groundedness, and focus. I can remember the before time, before I really established my own practice - and I was far less present, far less myself, and far less resilient. Life may not be easy; however, yoga helps me ride the waves and not to completely check out.
I really enjoy teaching yoga classes, it really calms me, as I can have a lot of energy otherwise. It helps me slow down, count my breathes, and weigh my words.
I really hope I can offer that in the classes we may have in the future - and my training with the Yoga Therapy Institute has given me, I feel, the tools I need to put all of this learning into practice.
Cycling Lessons
I have been a cycling instructor for 8 years, teaching adults and alike. I worked on the government-funded (UK) cycling programme called Bikeability, which involves working in the community, in school, and on a one-to-one basis. I tailor the lessons to your needs and pace them exactly how they should - the lessons are like a negotiating between us, trying to figure out the ways of unlocking your potential
I can offer loads to you on this front and I, also , have worked with people with Special Educational Needs with a charity called Midland Mencap, as well as with private clients, outside of my daily work.
Bicycle Mechanic
I have been fixing bikes for quite a while now - back in 2020 I thought it best to actually get formally trained in the art. Since then I have helped maintain the fleet of bikes we had, in Birmingham (UK),and also build some of the Big Birmingham Bikes that we would give away to people who needed them, in the community.
